THE BUILD UP TO BUILD OUT INITIATIVE
The Build Up to Build Out Initiative is a comprehensive vision and plan for making, maturing, mobilizing, and multiplying disciples in 2024 and beyond.
We have an amazing opportunity to be the light in our city and give God glory!
Attendance
We have seen a 90% Sunday morning increase in our new location
Small Groups
We have seen a 40% increase in Small Group attendance since January 2023
Missions
We have invested $285,639.63 in missions
Church Plants
We have funded 4 church plants
THE SPACE
Building up our property is central to this initiative as buildings are great tools to make more and better disciples. We will be able to utilize every square foot of our building to fully deepen and develop our age-based ministries, train ministry leaders, and reach more people locally and globally.
Worship Center
500 seat worship center, more than doubling our present seating capacity.
In addition to being used on Sunday AM for worship services, the new worship center will be used for weekly City Light College gatherings, church conferences & special events, and as a ministry space for our community.
Lobby
3000 square foot lobby, 500 square feet larger than our previous building.
In addition to easing movement on Sunday, the new lobby will provide increased fellowship space and serve as a secondary space for special church training events and church dinners. It will also be used as a ministry to and for our community.

Patio & Playground
The patio will be a gathering space for fellowship and ministry for adults and students on the weekend and evangelism and discipleship to the High Point community during the week.
The playground and play space will serve as a fun filled space for the next generation and for fellowship for young families. During the week, it will be open to the community and other ministries for making more and better disciples.
At City Light, people are the mission.
Although strengthening our facility is central to this initiative, it’s not the end goal. At City Light Church, people are the mission. With this in mind, 50% of the funds received will go toward building up our partners, building up our personnel, and building up our people,
Building up our partners will enable us to build out our purpose of MAKING disciples.
